Chocolate Skateboards
Chocolate Skateboards is what the industry considers an incidental skateboarding company. Originally several professional skateboarders sought sponsorship and wished to ride for the already famous Girl Skateboards outfit but were turned down. The parent company that oversees Girl Skateboards, Crailtap, understood that turning down professional athletes with numbers to match their boldness and assertion of future greatness would not be in their best interest, and it was decided that Girl would spawn an offshoot label that would permit for the inclusion of the professional skateboarders under a different name. The offshoot soon became a sister company to Girl and received the moniker Chocolate Skateboard Company.
If you are shopping for a Chocolate skateboard deck, you will be in luck. Featuring a variety of series, there are the bike series, City Street, Italo modern, allover sketch, silhouette, surreal, rally and one offs that have a couple of models that come in large and small sizes. The rest relies on individual sizes that are indicated with the various models. Wheels are another item for sale on the site, and you may choose from the 50 mm to the 54 mm wheels.
Of course, if you are not in the market for Chocolate Skateboard decks, just visit the Chocolate Skateboard official site and put your name in the ring for some Swiss bearings, red square wax, and of course the ever present duds that will keep you looking hip, cool, and with it. Chocolate Skateboards is the kind of company a pro can love; there is the opportunity to do what you do best while at the same time exploring the other options that professional status in skateboarding brings with it. While it is possible that any one of the team members will turn into a Tony Hawks, there is no rush to leave behind the Chocolate Skateboards label.
What sets apart the Chocolate Skateboards site is the attention to team detail that is paid there. Individual team members are featured in action, and the mix of athletes makes it very apparent that Chocolate Skateboards is open to the best skateboarding athletes whether well established or up and coming. Granted, the odds of an unknown being added to the team any time soon is slim to none, but once you have had a chance to prove yourself on the skateboarding circuit, you will most likely be welcomed with open arms. The fact that skateboarding is still a young sport makes it so much easier to position yourself for the future than it will be 20 years from now.
